An Illinois woman experienced "complete shock" when she won $1-million from a lottery ticket given to her by a fellow customer at a FasMart convenience store in Loves Park. The Lucky Day Lotto ticket, which cost only $1, matched all five numbers for the midday drawing on Monday, April 22nd, scoring her the million-dollar jackpot.
Choosing to remain anonymous, the lucky winner hid her face in a photo with her oversized million dollar check. She told lotto officials that "everything happens for a reason" when claiming her prize.
With her newfound fortune, she plans to purchase a new house and car. She’s also planning to support her grandfather and says she’ll put any remaining funds into her savings. The odds of winning the jackpot on the Lucky Day Lotto game are about one in 1.2-million.
