Halsey Slams G-Eazy's Cheating Live on SNL!

Halsey didn't need a press conference to make a statement about her recent separation from boyfriend G-Eazy . The 'Closer' singer aired out all the dirty details during her Saturday Night Live performance of 'Without Me' on the evening of Saturday February 9th.

After a turbulent relationship resulted in a few makeups and breakups, the couple officially called it quits back in October 2018. Both have seemingly moved on to other partners, but Halsey's first solo number one record 'Without Me' was confirmed to be about her experience with the rapper. While performing the track on the SNL stage as her first song of the night, statements - implied to be from G-Eazy himself - were plastered on the walls confirming his infidelity.

In the video below SNL cast-member Aidy Bryant introduces the 'Alone' artist as a slow piano bed introduces the song. Halsey starts off with a simple stage set up. Only a single light shines on her as she croons about her relationship that went sour. About midway through the rest of the stage lights up and phrases about G-Eazy's cheating covered the space. Most notably in the middle viewers could make out the sentence "I'm so sorry Ashley I cheated" with the names of different cities calling out the locations. "At home in Los Angeles," "In Austin," "more places I can't even remember."

After the broadcast Halsey took to social media to talk with fans about what had went down. She stated that her truth always comes out in her art and feels she has a responsibility to show her authentic self.

as an artist, I have a privilege to remain honest and write about what’s true to me. as a woman, I have a responsibility to not allow myself to be silenced by someone who has done me wrong. my truth will always come through in my art. death over silence, yo.

Other artists chimed in, with the performance getting a shout out from the one and only Kelly Clarkson! The 'Breakaway' singer said:

.@Halsey that was a killer performance of # WithoutMe on # SNL your vocals, the story, the writing on the wall. Best performance I’ve seen in a while. Raw. Painful. Pure. Thanks for being you!

The 'New Americana' singer replied back returning admiration and support - even noting that she received confirmation of her eventual SNL appearance during Kelly's concert in Los Angeles!

I.. am going to cry. I saw u at staples the night I found out I was hosting. I cried and laughed and you reminded me why i do this so this goes -such- a long way. Kelly thank u for being one of the reasons I write ur a queen.
