On September 13 and 14, the Marshall County Historical Society will host Patriots and Heroes Weekend at St. Jude Park, in Glen Dale, WV, a celebration of local veterans of all eras. Hear nationally-renowned speakers, visit reenactor camps, check out military vehicles, talk with local veterans, shop a Quartermaster store, and more at this free event from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sunday. Then check out the 1940s Swing Dance on September 13 from 7-10pm at St. Jude Hall and dance the night away to the Matt Hill Little Big Band. Tickets for the dance are $10 at the door, veterans receive free admission. Concessions, beer and wine will be available for purchase.
