My Trip To Daytona In A Nutshell

So I'm back today after my weekend getaway to the Daytona 500, and talk about an amazing experience! My wife and I got to Daytona International Speedway around 11:30, just in time for some driver appearances at one of the tents outside the track. I had time to see my favorite, Chase Elliott, along with Tyler Reddick and Austin Dillon.

After that, it was off to our seats, which I had no complaints about!

After all the pre-race festivities, it was time to get things rolling!

Here's what they were like at full speed.

Now in the closing laps of a race like the Daytona 500, feelings will get hurt and carnage will ensue.

I wish I was quick enough with the camera to get the Harrison Burton wreck, too busy enjoying the action at that point! In the end, it was a thrilling finish as Austin Cindric took the checkered flag. Not to mention, he's not too bad at victory burnouts.

So an exciting experience overall at what's considered NASCAR's Super Bowl, and certainly an item crossed off the bucket list. If you're a motorsports fan, the Daytona 500 is something you need to see at least once!
