Paris Hilton may have her main residence in tact following the devastating Pacific Palisades fires, but she lost her Malibu home, and watched it burn down "on live TV."

In a heartbreaking post on Instagram, Paris shared footage of a news report of the fire, and wrote along with it, "Heartbroken beyond words. Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience. This home was where we built so many precious memories. It’s where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London."

She went on to say, "While the loss is overwhelming, I’m holding onto gratitude that my family and pets are safe. My heart and prayers are going out to every family affected by these fires. To all the people who have lost their homes, their memories, and their beloved pets. My heartaches for those still in harm’s way or mourning greater losses. The devastation is unimaginable. To know so many are waking up today without the place they called home is truly heartbreaking."

Hilton also shared that she wants to help and support the communities affected by the fires through her 11:11 Media Impact non-profit, as well as thanked all of the firefighters and first responders, calling them "true heroes."

Paris ended her note by urging everyone to "stay safe and follow evacuation orders," adding, "We're in this together, LA. Hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight. You never know when everything could change."

Hilton is just one out of many to lose a home amid the California fires. Others to lose their homes include Anna Faris, Eugene Levy, James Woods, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, Sandra Lee, Ricki Lake and more.
