Taylor Swift is shutting down the "shockingly offensive" claim she will stop making music after getting married.

During a recent radio interview, the "Fate of Ophelia" singer hit back at rumors that her 12th studio album The Life of a Showgirl is her last and that she is quitting music after marrying fiancé Travis Kelce, per People. After quickly denying the idea that her new album, which dropped Friday, is her final foray into music, the interviewer explained how some fans have speculated that Swift will change her focus to getting married and having children; however, she immediately shut that thought down.

"It's a shockingly offensive thing to say. It's not why people get married, so they can quit their job," she said. "Oh, I know [fans] love to panic sometimes, but it's like I love the person that I am with because he loves what I do and he loves how much I am fulfilled by making art and making music."

Swift explained how their own passions for what they do are one of the reasons that they really connected.

"That's the coolest thing about Travis, like he is so passionate about what he does, that me being passionate about what I do, it connects us," she said. "There's no point in time where he's gonna be like, 'I'm really upset that you're still making the music. The music thing that I signed up for that I knew you love, I thought you were gonna stop doing that.'"

The "Opalite" musician added that it is "the most fun thing in the world to support each other" and while there is a "polarity of how different our jobs are," there are also similarities in the way they each "entertain people," her performing on stages and him on the field.

"For him, it's practice. For me, it's rehearsal. For him, it's a game. For me, it's a show. We just call them different things. It's a very similar thing. We both have teams," she said. "And we're both competitive, like in fun ways, not in ways that eat away at us, but just like we just love it."

Swift and Kelce announced their engagement August 26 after two years of dating, and she recently shared sweet new details about the NFL star's proposal for the very first time.
