A woman went missing for five days in the Australian bushland, surviving on just "a couple of snacks" and her "common sense." The 48-year-old woman, identified only as Lillian, had set off on a day trip from Bright, Victoria, and accidentally took a wrong turn, getting her car stuck in the mud. With no cell reception and health issues preventing her from walking, she was forced to stay with her car.

Police began searching the area after her family reported her missing on April 30th. On Friday, May 5th, she was spotted by an emergency services helicopter during a search of a hilly terrain about 37 miles from the nearest town. She was reportedly "extremely relieved" to see the police.

The woman, who doesn’t normally drink, is crediting her survival to a bottle of wine she was giving as a gift and “a couple of snacks and lollipops” she had in her car. She also used her car's heater to stay warm during the chilly nights. She was taken to the hospital to be treated for dehydration and will remain there for observation.
