In an act of bravery in Colonial Heights, Virginia, Bradley Stuller risked his life earlier this week to rescue a grandmother and her two young grandchildren from a burning house. Stuller was driving by when he noticed smoke billowing from the residence. Upon discovering that the family’s "Me-maw" was still inside, he rushed into the smoke-filled home, recalling later that "it was pitch black, you couldn’t see anything."

After guiding the grandmother to safety, he went back into the burning home in a desperate attempt to reach the crying children. Unfortunately, the fire's intensity forced him to retreat, but thankfully, firefighters soon arrived and rescued the one- and two-year-old.

The three family members are currently in critical condition in the hospital, but their relatives are extremely grateful that Stuller was able to save their grandmother. "I just thank him so much,” family member Destiny Davis says of Stuller, “He’s the reason my grandmother is alive."

  • crowdfund has been set up to support the family during this difficult time.
