The Crown is back today for its fifth season. If you don't watch the Netflix drama about the life and reign of Queen Elizabeth II, you probably live with someone who does.
The series follows Queen Elizabeth and her family from the 1940s to modern times, recasting characters from season to season as they age. The fourth season introduced Princess Diana (as played by Emma Corrin), but Season 5 moves ahead in the timeline and recasts both Charles and Diana to depict them further into their rocky relationship. The new Princess Diana of Wales is Australian actress Elizabeth Debicki. You may know her from her work in Tenet, Widows, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
Debicki is lovely and a great actress, but no discussion of her is complete without mentioning her height. She is 6′ 3″. It's not really fair to fixate on her height, but people are fascinated by it. At 6′ 3″ she pretty much always towers over her male co-stars...John David Washington is 5' 9", Tom Hiddleston is almost 6' 2", and Prince Charles actor Dominic West is 6' even. In most cases, the movie and TV productions aren't looking to emphasize her height, so movie magic comes into play to make her a little shorter and the leading men a little taller.
